Since no water is introduced into this recipe, you can easily store the extra foot soak to use on your next spa day or give some to a friend. So, you get aromatherapy and antimicrobial benefits from using this grapefruit DIY foot soak.

4. Colorant

A powdered orange food colorant is used in this DIY foot soak. However, a powdered red and a powdered yellow food colorant can be mixed together to create an orange color. The uplifting tropical orange color is the perfect match for the uplifting aroma that grapefruit essential oil provides.

Ingredients

This particular DIY foot soak is prepared with a combination of Epsom salt, soap, fragrance, and color.

1. Epsom Salt

The Epsom salt is a popular magnesium rich ingredient. Magnesium health benefits include its ability to relax the mind and body. Since magnesium can be absorbed through the skin, this DIY foot soak can help to reduce anxiety while soothing the muscles in tired, achy feet.

A powdered soap is used to create a soapy DIY foot soak. If using a foot basin, add the DIY foot soak to your foot basin first and then add warm water from a faucet to create a soapy water. You can do the same with a vibrating foot massage bath. The vibrations will typically generate more bubbles for your DIY foot soak.

3. Fragrance

A sweet and flowery lilac fragrance oil or lilac essential oil can be used in this DIY foot soak recipe. Lilac produces a sweet flowery aroma that fills the air while soaking your feet. So, it will leave you with sweet feet.
